Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 16, 2026 · iOS edition

Alarmesque is built to wake you up. We collect as little information about you as possible to make that happen. This page explains, in plain language, what data the app handles and where it goes.

What we collect locally on your device

  • The alarms you schedule (time, scene choice, custom description if any).
  • The first name you enter (optional, used so the alarm can address you by name).
  • The generated audio for each alarm, stored in the app’s private storage.
  • Any custom voice samples you record and the resulting voice ID.

This data never leaves your phone. It is stored in the app’s sandboxed storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Third-party AI providers we share data with

On the free tier, no personal information is sent to any third-party AI provider.

For paid features that generate scenes, voices, and SFX, the app sends the scene creation data, your name (optionally), and (for voice cloning) the voice sample you recorded, to our AI providers xAI (privacy policy) and ElevenLabs (privacy policy).

No other personal information is shared. We don’t run our own server, so we never see, store, or process your data. Requests route from your device to the AI providers directly.

Subscriptions (Premium / Dream)

Purchases are handled by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat (privacy policy) to manage subscription state; they receive an anonymous ID and your purchase receipt. We never see your Apple ID, payment card, or billing address.

Diagnostics and crash reporting

To find and fix bugs we use Sentry to record crashes and unhandled errors. Sentry receives the stack trace of the error, the app version, the device model and OS version, and a short trail of in-app navigation steps leading up to the error. Personal content (scene prompts, voice samples, transcripts, your first name) is scrubbed out before anything is sent, and we do not attach any user identifier. Sentry privacy policy.

What we do NOT collect

  • No analytics. No tracking SDKs. No advertising identifiers.
  • No location data.
  • No contacts, photos, calendar, or health data.
  • No account, email, or password. The app has no login.

Permissions the app requests

  • Alarms: required to ring at your scheduled time even when the phone is locked.
  • Microphone: only used when you choose to record a custom voice sample or speak to the scene (talk-back). Audio is sent to the relevant AI provider for that turn and is not stored long-term.

Your rights

Since we don’t store your data on our own servers, deletion mostly means uninstalling the app, which removes everything from your device. To request deletion of any data held by the AI providers above, email support@alarmesque.com and we’ll forward your request.

Children

Alarmesque is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything about how data is handled, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will reflect it.
